Essential Job Responsibilities:

  1. Plans, implements and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
  2. May precept new hires.
  3. Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition and circumstances.
  4. Prepares, gives and evaluates the effectiveness of medications.
  5. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
  6. Performs telephone triage, and documents and communicates as appropriate. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  7. Assists in scheduling infusion appointments for patients.
  8. Maintains confidentiality with all patient information.
  9. Assists with coordination of ordering & receiving all required inventory, to include pharmaceuticals required for infusion administration.
  10. Demonstrates compliance with ConvenientMD Urgent Care’s policies and procedures.


Criteria for Hiring:

  1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  2. Active RN license in New Hampshire/Maine.
  3. Minimum of one-year relevant acute care nursing experience.
  4. Competent IV skills, use of central lines (ports & PICCS) central and peripheral blood draws.
  5. Strong critical thinking skills and judgement.
  6. Active BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. BSN Degree
  2. ONS Chemo/Bio Certification
  3. OCN and/or CRNI
  4. Infusion experience (including biologics, monoclonal antibodies)
  5. At least one year of current acute care oncology experience
  6. Flexibility with scheduling
